Masciarelli Montepulciano d'Abruzzo Iskra Riserva 2016
Masciarelli's Iskra is a Montepulciano d'Abruzzo Riserva whose grapes grow around the Aprutine hills in the municipality of Controguerra. We are located in the hills between the Gran Sasso and the Adriatic Sea, at a height of about 250 metres above sea level, and the training method chosen for the Montepulciano vines is the simple guyot.
After pressing the grapes, the must ferments in temperature-controlled steel tanks. This is followed by the ageing phase, in which the wine first rests for 12 months in oak barriques and then, after bottling and before being released for sale, for a further 24 months directly in glass.
