Mormoreto Castello Di Nipozzano 1997

This is the great wine of the Castello, born from the Mormoreto vineyard planted in 1976. The wine was produced  with the 1983 vintage and since then it has been produced in the most favourable years; 1984, 1987, 1989, 1992, 1998 and 2002. The Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot vines, planted 150 years ago, have brilliantly merged with the land, enhancing its unique character. It is an opulent, deep wine of great finesse and longevity. The vintage '97 at Castello di Nipozzano was particularly positive for the quality of the grapes harvested. The year was marked by a spring frost which reduced the yields, raising the quality of wine to very high levels.

Il Pareto Tenuta Di Nozzole 1996

Pareto is a great Tuscan red wine, produced since 1987 by Fattoria di Nozzole,  Ambrogio and Giovanni Folonari farms. A historic farm, that  belonged to Raffaele Mattioli, the legendary president of the Banca Commerciale Italiana; eventually it was bought by Ambrogio Folonari in 1971. It is located in the northern part of Chianti Classico,  Greve, not far from Passo dei Pecorai and the road that connectsl Ferrone with Greti. Its production began with the grape  harvest of '87, and with the only Cabernet Sauvignon grapes grown in the Paretaio vineyard, which inspired the name.

Brunello di Montalcino Riserva Gli Angeli La Gerla 2007

The Brunello di Montalcino Riserva Gli Angeli La Gerla 2007 comes from 25 year old vines located at 300 metres above sea level and trained on the spurred cordon system. Production is limited to very few bunches per vine (50 Qli/ha), the grapes are harvested by hand and the bunches are selected. Vinification takes place with soft pressing of the bunches, temperature control during fermentation (30°C), micro-oxygenation and maceration (15) days, 2 racking per year. It has a beautiful bright garnet red colour. On the nose, tertiary hints of wet earth, mushrooms and graphite are the intense prelude to the sweet succession of currants, jam and dried petals. Brunello di Montalcino Pietroso 2016

Brunello di Montalcino Pietroso is a Tuscan red wine that ranks among the top quality wines of the denomination.

The winery is a small producer of just under five hectares, where Sangiovese is the undisputed protagonist.

Just as in this bottle, whose vigorous sip accompanies a kaleidoscope of scents that finds perfect synthesis. The Brunello di Montalcino of the Pietroso winery is made from Sangiovese grapes grown in vineyards located at an altitude between 350 and 450 metres above sea level, on soil rich in skeleton.

After harvesting, fermentation takes place in steel, using indigenous yeasts and macerating on the skins for about 20 days at a controlled temperature. The wine is then aged for 36 months in wooden barrels.
