Barbera d'Asti Superiore Mongovone by Elio Perrone, is the result of the great passion of one of the most interesting vigneron of Piedmont, who produces great artisanal wines. Grapes come from the vineyards cultivated in the prestigious Mongovone area, one of the most suited areas for Barbera. Vineyards are planted at an altitude of about 350 meters above sea level, with a south exposure, sunny and well ventilated. Vines are almost 100 years old and produce few bunches per plant which are particularly rich in aromas. At the end of the harvest, the grapes are destemmed and fermented in stainless steel vats at a controlled temperature. The wine ages for a period of 12 months in new French oak barriques and completes the aging process with some months in bottle.
