Valpolicella Superiore Monte Lodoletta Romano Dal Forno 2014
Romano Dal Forno's Valpolicella Superiore Monte Lodoletta is one of those labels that has the merit of being able to tell the history and traditions of a territory in a glass. It is a genuine wine of extraordinary typicality, elegance and pleasantness. At the end of the harvest, the grapes are vinified in red with maceration on the skins. Before bottling, the wine matures for 36 months in new barriques. In the glass it has an intense ruby red colour. The olfactory profile opens with aromas of cherry and ripe red fruit, notes of dried fruit, hints of noble wood and spices. On the palate it has a good structure, with a harmonious sip, fine tannins and a balanced finish, with a long finish on fruity tones. A true legend!

Valpolicella Superiore Monte Lodoletta is a Valpolicella made by one of the most famous and highly rated producers in the area. The Dal Forno winery can count on the experience of four generations of winegrowers and today manages a splendid estate of around 25 hectares in the hilly area of Illasi. The mild and breezy climate, also due to the proximity of Lake Garda, and the mainly calcareous soils have for thousands of years been the perfect terroir for the native red grape varieties of the area: Corvina, Rondinella and Molinara. The winery's real turning point came when it met Giuseppe Quintarelli, another historic name in Valpolicella wine. From that moment on, Romano Dal Forno decided to follow the path of absolute quality, convinced that a territory with such a vocation should be enhanced to the full with excellent viticulture.
