Montepulciano d'Abruzzo Emidio Pepe 2018

Pepe Montepulciano d'Abruzzo is produced with pure grapes of the homonymous variety, coming from 30 years old vines standing on clayey and medium texture soil. In the vineyard are scrupulously followed the dictates of organic farming integrating them with some biodynamic practices, although the idea of grapes and healthy soil was already rooted in Emidio's mentality.

In the winery, manual destemming of the grapes and spontaneous alcoholic fermentation in vitrified cement tanks followed by bottling and decanting by hand without filtration. The liquid ages 24 months in cement tanks.

Champagne Original Brut Nature Louis Dousset is a cuvée of 60% Pinot Noir, Chardonnay40 %, produced in 40,000 bottles per year.

It has a beautiful straw yellow colour with lively bubbles forming a crown of pure white. Full of youth and energy.

On the nose, delicate aromas of fresh white flowers, panbrioché and quince. Brilliant, direct and above all enjoyable.

On the palate, soft and gentle at first, it then opens up to reveal a stronger character. The non-dosage provides the perfect accompaniment to a hint of acidity and the liveliness of the bubbles that tickle the palate. Delicate and very 'ish' with a clean, taut finish.

Tal Luc - Lis Neris

The Tal Luc Passito wine from Lis Neris comes from vineyards on the estate that are over 25 years old. 

The plots are situated on a gravelly plateau of calcareous matrix, characterised by poor and very draining soils, which naturally limit the yields. At the end of the harvesting operations, the most beautiful, healthy and ripe bunches of grapes are left to dry for a period of 120/130 days in an environment with controlled temperature and humidity, so as to favour the slow dehydration and concentration of sugars and aromas.

The grapes are pressed very softly and the dense, rich must is fermented in French oak barriques.

The wine matures, again in barriques, and completes its ageing with a long period in bottles before release.

Here, the presence of chalk and marine fossils ensures the soil the necessary solar heat, excellent water drainage, good humidity in summer and a large supply of minerals. In this case, the wine stays on the lees for 36 months and the resulting wine is elegant and of great complexity: once tried, it is not to be forgotten. To the eye it is straw yellow, with golden reflections; fine and persistent perlage. The nose is pleasantly complex, with hints of ripe citron, orange peel and rennet apple, followed by notes of almonds and bread crust. The palate is elegant, balanced and long lasting.
