Amarone della Valpolicella Monte Lodoletta Romano Dal Forno 2013

Romano Dal Forno's Amarone Monte Lodoletta is made from the grapes traditionally grown in this wonderful hilly area: Corvina, Rondinella and Molinara. The harvest is carried out with a selection in the vineyard of perfectly ripe and healthy bunches. The grapes are placed in the drying room to dry for about 4 months, so that they lose water and concentrate the aromas and sugars. The wine matures for at least 60 months in barriques before being bottled. It has a dark ruby red colour; on the nose it expresses elegance, with aromas of ripe red fruit, cherry, plum, liquorice root, soft spices, notes of bitter cocoa and chocolate. The sip is warm and enveloping, with dense, persistent aromas and smooth tannins. The finish is long and harmonious, a real fairytale!

It is a genuine wine of extraordinary typicality, elegance and pleasantness. At the end of the harvest, the grapes are vinified in red with maceration on the skins. Before bottling, the wine matures for 36 months in new barriques. In the glass it has an intense ruby red colour. The olfactory profile opens with aromas of cherry and ripe red fruit, notes of dried fruit, hints of noble wood and spices. On the palate it has a good structure, with a harmonious sip, fine tannins and a balanced finish, with a long finish on fruity tones. A true legend!

What we find in the glass is a red of great level, which is aligned with the high standards of all other labels branded Castellare di Castellina. It rests for two long years in French oak barriques, and is completed with 18 months of bottle ageing.
