Tal Luc - Lis Neris

The Tal Luc Passito wine from Lis Neris comes from vineyards on the estate that are over 25 years old.

The plots are situated on a gravelly plateau of calcareous matrix, characterised by poor and very draining soils, which naturally limit the yields. At the end of the harvesting operations, the most beautiful, healthy and ripe bunches of grapes are left to dry for a period of 120/130 days in an environment with controlled temperature and humidity, so as to favour the slow dehydration and concentration of sugars and aromas.

The grapes are pressed very softly and the dense, rich must is fermented in French oak barriques.

The wine matures, again in barriques, and completes its ageing with a long period in bottles before release.

Karmis Cuvée 2021 Contini

Karmis Cuvée from the Contini winery is made from a skilful blend of Vernaccia grapes and 20% of the most typical Sardinian white berry cultivars. The vineyards are located in Sinis, and on the slopes of Monte Arci. In both cases, yields do not exceed eighty quintals per hectare.

The grapes are harvested early, in order to have a greater richness in acids: once brought to the cellar, they are softly pressed, and the must thus obtained is sent for fermentation in steel containers at low temperatures.

Once fermentation is complete, Karmis rests in vitrified cement containers with its own yeast skins, with frequent delestage, to increase the depth of aromas and structure.

Ocone Falanghina del Sannio Taburno Vigna del Monaco 2020

In the Colle del Monaco vineyard, with a full south-west exposure, Falanghina vines grow at an altitude of 400 metres above sea level, on soils rich in limestone and tuff. The Ocone family has always been environmentally aware and thus decided to certify the cultivation as organic.

In the cellar, work involves a short cold maceration of the grapes, followed by their soft pressing and the start of alcoholic fermentation in vertical wooden vats, where malolactic fermentation also takes place. Refinement involves a short 4-month stay in steel.

Barbera d'Alba DOCG “Vigna Francia” 2020 Conterno Giacomo

Vigna Francia is a Barbera d'Alba produced by the Giacomo Conterno winery, and comes from a real cru, where the Barbera grapes have the opportunity to grow in optimal conditions, bringing healthy, ripe bunches to harvest.

The nose is dominated by a range of fruity touches, which open to a warm and warming sip, where the alcohol level makes itself felt, despite the fresh imprint that envelops the palate.

Barbera D'Alba 2021 Giuseppe Rinaldi

Barbera Giuseppe Rinaldi is one of the typical Piedmontese wines produced by the Rinaldi winery now run by Giuseppe's daughters, Carlotta and Marta Rinaldi.

The Rinaldi winery owns just over 6 hectares of vineyards at least 20 years old, 3.8 of which are cultivated with Nebbiolo, between the hills of Barolo and Novello.

Giuseppe Rinaldi's Barbera d'Alba DOC differs from the others produced in this area due to its double ageing in steel and oak barrels for 5 months. It is a young, fresh wine with a nice acidic backbone to support it.

It is a very pleasant wine on the nose where it releases notes of wilted violets and undergrowth, in the mouth it is straight with a slightly bitter finish, Barbera Rinaldi goes very well with cured meats and cheeses as well as carne salada and carpaccio.
