Tenuta Pennita's Poggio al Monte extra virgin olive oil is a blend of Correggiolo, Nostrana and Ghiacciola. It is a limpid, yellow oil with green reflections. The nose is characterised by vegetal notes of tomato and artichoke. In the mouth the marked bitterness and spicy tone emerge. The correspondence of the olfactory sensations is very pleasant.
Barolo Sottocastello di Novello Ca' Viola is made from Nebbiolo grapes grown on 2.3 hectares in Novello, in the Sottocastello cru. Here the vines grow at an altitude of 470 metres on calcareous and clayey soil of a sandy matrix and are fed with natural manure and green manure, without synthetic chemical products. In the cellar, spontaneous fermentation takes place for 35 days and the wine is aged in large casks for 36 months. It is an important wine, elegant and austere, with a luminous garnet colour and deep aromas of underbrush and spices. On the palate it is energetic and slender, structured and decisive, with thick and persistent tannins and final aromatic suggestions of tobacco and chocolate. A Barolo with great personality, capable of resting in the cellar for many many years.
Tenuta Pennita Selezione Alina Olio Extravergine di Oliva 2023 is an exceptional product that reflects the high quality of olives grown in the fertile Italian soil. This oil, extracted from olives harvested at the earliest stage of ripeness, is characterised by a medium to intensely fruity flavour with vibrant notes of fresh herbs and a touch of almond. On the palate, a distinctive bitterness emerges followed by a pleasant tingle, typical of high quality oils. The colour is an inviting golden green. Perfect for flavouring salads, drizzling over fish dishes or as a finish on soups and pulses, this oil adds a touch of class to any dish, celebrating the richness of Italy's olive-growing heritage.
