Suntory The Hakushu DISTILLER'S RESERVE Single Malt Japanese Whisky con Confezione

This Hakushu is a Japanese single malt whisky from Suntory. The name Hakushu means 'white sandbank' and refers to the rich mineral deposits in the river on the island of Honshu that lead to the Suntory distillery.

 It is a blend of whiskies that have been aged for less than 10 years in Bourbon casks, old whiskies that have been aged for at least 18 years in American white oak casks and young whiskies that have been aged for about 12 years in Bourbon casks.

Shinji Fukuyo, fourth master distiller, selected the casks himself. This Hakushu is the first without age indication.
