Prevost Champagne la Closerie Extra Brut

Extra Brut of Pinot Meunier La Closerie Les Béguines is a very particular Champagne. Jerome Prevost has chosen, in fact, to cultivate his little more than two hectares of vineyard located in Gueux, at the foot of Reims Mountains, with Pinot Meunier only. He began to commercialize his Champagne in 1998 and today the few thousands of bottles he produces are in great demand. The choice of making a single label, produced with a single plot and with a single grape variety, proved to be successful and allowed him to know so well the terroir and the characteristics of grapes, in order to create a Champagne of extraordinary quality. Fermentations take place with the use of indigenous yeasts in oak barrels and base wines are aged in wood until the creation of the cuvée.

Extra Brut Pinot Meunier "La Closerie Les Béguines" is a very particular Champagne. Fermentations take place with the use of indigenous yeasts in French oak barrels and base wines are aged in wood until the creation of the cuvée. Refermentation takes place in bottle, with a stay in yeasts for at least 24 months before dégorgement. Jerome Prevost's Champagne "La Closerie Les Béguines" is an Extra brut of great personality, a unique label in the panorama of the Montagne de Reims area. It represents the history of a small Maison capable of producing a great excellence. In the glass it shows a brilliant and bright straw yellow color, crossed by a thin and persistent perlage. The olfactory profile is intense, with aromas of white fruit, floral nuances, hints of pain brioche, spicy and balsamic sensations. The taste is ample and rich, with complex and deep aromas which stretch with great gustatory harmony towards a sapid and crisp finish.
